MEET NICOLÁS & MARÍA
For more than twenty years, Nicolás has explored Patagonia's roads, mountains, estancias and borderlands, guiding travelers across Argentina and Chile while developing deep relationships with the people and landscapes that define the region.
Together with María, he created Chasqui Patagonia from a simple belief: the most meaningful journeys are built through genuine human connections.
What began as shared meals, stories, music and hospitality in their family home evolved into a collection of carefully designed journeys that invite travelers to experience Patagonia beyond its famous landmarks.
At the heart of every Chasqui experience is a commitment to authenticity. We believe Patagonia is not only a place of glaciers, mountains and vast landscapes. It is also a living territory shaped by indigenous heritage, rural traditions, local communities, artists, conservationists and storytellers.
Through small-group expeditions, cultural encounters and private journeys, we invite travelers to slow down, observe deeply and connect with the people, stories and places that make Patagonia unique.
Our approach combines expert local knowledge, cultural interpretation and genuine hospitality, creating experiences that go beyond conventional tourism.
Every itinerary is personally curated and guided with the intention of fostering meaningful encounters, encouraging curiosity and creating lasting memories.
Whether sharing a meal around the fire at Casa Chasqui, exploring ancient archaeological sites, crossing remote landscapes or discovering hidden corners of Patagonia, our goal remains the same:
To welcome travelers not as tourists, but as guests.
Based in El Calafate and working throughout Argentina and Chile, Chasqui Patagonia offers journeys designed for curious travelers seeking a deeper understanding of Patagonia, its people and its extraordinary landscapes.
